PixelPop 2087 is a Top-Down 2D pixel art adventure where ’80s love meets a dystopian twist from the future!

Set in the retro-futuristic year 2087, this game combines rogue-lite elements with action, adventure and 80’s pop culture references!

The Story

The dark mage Lowne Peje needs a sacrifice for his ritual: a guy with a specific eyes color.

That guy is you partner! Rush to save him/her and go through all the tower floors to find where Lowne Peje is hiding…

The tower is affected by the dark magician powers and each floor will change in conjfiguration as soon as you try again. So, each tentative will require different approaches!

Furthermore, Lowne Peje has summoned some of the worst creatures from its dark book. Avoid them or destroy every one that is on your way.

Pick your hero, Jhonny or Elly, and prepare to fight your way.

Gameplay

Two different characters, two different styles!

• Elly uses melee weapons and a dash power: fast, needs to be close enough to the enemy, hit and run! This approach will force to study your enemy in order to know what is the best moment to attack, but will allow you to be as fast as you can imagine! She can pick-up weapons based on elemental powers and can destroy almost any kind of projectile.
• Jonny prefers fireguns and has a shield power: more safe, shoot from distance and need to be careful on consumable projectiles. His approach needs to keep a little distance from the enemies, but allows to shoot without trigger the ordes! He can protect himself from any kind of attack using the shield power, and can pick-up different kind of fire weapons.

Arena Mode

There is an alternative way to play PixelPop 2087: the Arena Mode.

In the arena you will be able to challenge yourself and resist as much as you can against waves of enemies, increasing a your score.

You will use Eddy, a third character that uses the Elly’s dash as base power and the Jhonny’s shield as soon as required.

In the Arena Mode the bosses will drop keys to let you explore specific areas in which powerful weapons are hidden.

Arena Mode will be released on mobile devices as stand-alone game!

About Alpha Version

PixelPop 2087 is a project from the single indie developer StylerFunk Games.

This is still an Alpha Version of the game, which contains the first two levels and the Arena Mode.

Any improvement such as bugs fixing will be implemented in final version.
